| Description: | Also purchased in July 2010 from Tony B. of Derby, U.K., this machine and S/N 78223 were originally purchased to a collector in London who purchased it in 1972 for investment purposes at the end of production when nobody wanted them, preferring electronic calculators. Both machines NEVER were used and they have the original cardboard box and manuals in new condition. Possibly, both machines are within the best preserved Curtas in the world! Both machines belongs to the last period of manufacturing, around june 1970. This machine have the basic operating manuals, but Tony sent to me as a gift the book "Curta Calculating Techniques" and the table "Curta Square Root Tables", very rare to find but you have the opportunity to download in PDF format in this site. |
